I didn't understand much about meditation before attending Alli's workshop and wasn't sure how it might be helpful.  During the workshop I realized what a powerful tool it could be and I was excited to try it.  the workshop was fantastic.  I learned so much from the guiding principles and the meditations we did together as a group.  Alli is an engaging speaker and explains things in such a relatable way.  I have started meditating several times a week using the guided meditations on the app.  This has helped me so much with my anxiety.  By attending the workshop and practicing meditations at home I am now seeing and understanding its power.  I'm grateful for this tool and Alli's willingness to share her experiences.

I have taken a variety of meditation courses since I was a teenager. I have meditated off and on for over 40 years. Over the past few years I have been doing mindful meditation on a daily basis. I have also been taking a restorative yoga class with Alli Mangrum. As Alli started to bring more meditation to our yoga practice I realized that I could get so much more from my meditation by adding understanding and intent. I was able to attend one of Alli's two day Living Consciously workshops. The knowledge I gained is supporting the growth that I longed for. While it is still early in this part of my conscious living journey I feel like I have finally found what I have been searching for over many years.

I feel very fortunate that I was able to attend a Living Consciously workshop that Alli taught recently. I have known Alli for years and have always admired her drive, positive outlook, and the way she has shaped her life. I knew very little about meditation and energy work, but when I heard Alli share the ways it had helped her, I knew they were things I wanted to learn more about. I was really excited to attend her workshop and all that was being offered in it. I have always struggled with bouts of depression and anxiety, and while I have found things that temporarily help, I was really excited to learn more about the ways meditation could help me better deal with challenges and reframe my thinking to be more positive and loving towards myself. 

 

The two days I spent being taught by Alli was amazing. I learned so much about different meditations and their numerous benefits. I loved learning about the science showing the changes in the brain made by meditation and the physical release it provides. I learned about why I have certain thoughts and behaviors, and because I understand them, I am so much more accepting and patient with myself. After two days, I left feeling more confident and secure, thanks to all the tools Alli had given me.  I definitely have a different outlook on life that feels calm and up-lifting. 

 

I have had some really wonderful experiences using the meditations Alli taught me. Often the experiences I have feel very personal and spiritual, so I am a little hesitant to share, but I would love for others to know that there are ways to find peace and comfort, and they are available to us all. The experience I had recently happened shortly after the coronavirus began spreading through our country. I had been feeling very uncertain about the future and began having mild panic attacks whenever I would read the news. I decided to start doing the meditations I learned daily to help me with my anxiety, and I had the most beautiful experience. Using the meditation app Alli gave me, I took the time to practice a transcendence meditation. While doing this, my mind was able to be quieted from the worries I had been experiencing. I noticed not just my mind, but my breathing and my body felt calm and at ease. As I continued, I felt a deep, loving connection to the world and the people in it, and I felt that same beautiful love being returned to me. I felt that I could learn from this experience and emerge as a person with more gratitude, compassion, and love. I felt that hope and goodness were not gone. I felt an undeniable reassurance that we were not forgotten and things were going to workout. This experience brought me to tears. It changed my heart and allowed my mind to see things through a lens that was free of fear. 

 

I hope that sharing this experience and the things I learned from Alli's workshop will help others to know there are powerful tools out there to guide our thinking and behavior. There are ways to better shape our thoughts and shift our tendencies. There are ways to feel more compassion for ourselves and others. And there are ways to shape our futures into what we want them to be. I am really grateful that Alli was able to teach me these things. Those two days of learning have helped me start a life-changing journey. Thank you Alli!

"Before attending the Living Consciously Workshop I had been attempting to learn the concepts of present moment living, witnessing, and holding space.  I enjoyed what I was learning but wanted a deeper understanding of the concepts.  I was also beginning to incorporate meditation in my life.  Learning the skills of meditation on my own was overwhelming.  Not only was I certain I was doing it all wrong, there are so many different meditations out there, and I had no idea which ones I should try.  During the workshop, Alli taught us many concepts of conscious living.  She explained the concepts thoroughly by including examples and stories, her deep knowledge of both western and eastern healing, her natural wit, and her love for everyone she teaches.  Alli taught us corresponding meditations.  The highlight of the workshop for me was the time we spent in meditation.  Alli is a gifted instructor and I left feeling confident in my ability to incorporate meditation in my life, and could already feel the tremendous benefits of daily meditation."

The “Living Consciously” Seminar by Alli Mangrum would benefit anyone who attends. It’s a refreshing break from the chaos of life’s busy pace that we have created for ourselves, a humbling reminder of how special our time is here, and how important it is to connect with our true selves so we can strive to be our best possible self for ourselves and for our loved ones.

In attending the seminar, I learned how easy we allow a disconnect from ourselves and from nature and allow the busy pace of society and work dictate our lives from the outside in. How much time and energy we invest into trying to control what we cannot, time into negative thoughts and materialistic things that in the long term of our lives just don’t matter.  

As a Registered Nurse I feel that this seminar should be a mandatory for our public education along with advanced schooling for our healthcare professionals. As a society, we have become far removed from our spiritual and mental health which in term affects our physical health. Western medicine gets lost in treating symptoms and not treating people as a whole, physically, spiritually, and mentally. It is people like Alli who are helping break the cycle and bring balance back into health care.

I have learned so much from Alli that it has strengthened my relationship with my wife, my family, and as a healthcare professional. I would highly recommend the “Living Consciously” seminar to anyone and everyone.

The universe craves balance. For some reason, we find ways to resist this balance. It’s amazing how balance naturally occurs when we learn to let go of our false sense of control and speak our truth. Alli and her seminar can help you learn to do this.

I’m so grateful that I was able to take Alli's Meditation Workshop. I knew it’d be great, but it far and away exceeded my expectations. Alli has so much information to share about meditation but also on so many other related topics that can improve your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. I learned so much about myself and the reasons why I think and behave in certain ways. More importantly, I learned how I can think and behave BETTER and be happier in the process.  

      I have a greater understanding of my non-conscious self and the limiting beliefs that have been holding me back in many areas of my life.  It has helped me to broaden my perspective and realize that there are limitless possibilities to every problem and now I look for them... instead of just accepting my current situations and feeling trapped and resentful.  Gaining a better understanding of energy, witnessing, and boundaries has helped me in my process of being a happier, grounded, more authentic person and allow me to interact in more loving and positive ways with everyone, but most importantly my family. And I can do so without sacrificing myself or my needs. 

       Everything taught in the workshop is followed by a specific meditation that helps you to reflect upon and practice the new skill.  I have meditated some the past several years but taking this workshop gave me the motivation and education to bring my own practice to a new level. I use the meditation app and reference the workbook often which has been so helpful in implementing all these new skills and information into my life.  Anyone and everyone should take this course and be open to it changing their life.

“I was so excited to attend Alli’s workshop. I had a basic idea of what it entailed, but didn’t know what it was all about or what I’d gain from it. I more just went in trusting Alli that it would be something of value based on what I know about her.  Also,  I hadn’t done much mediation in my lifetime so was very curious about that.  First I will say, it’s a lot of info but Alli presents and teaches it in a way that’s relatable using examples (even some of her own life experiences, which I liked).  For me to give you my “highlights” or best “take-aways” I must explain that I had been struggling over the last 2 years (well probably much longer and who are we kidding…probably my entire life) with that little voice in my head that just wouldn’t shut up.  It was all the stories I had attached to different people and things that were causing me pain, shame, and unhappiness. So when Alli touched on “being a witness” and “understanding your behavior” it really resonated with me. It was interesting to know our brain doesn’t know truth…it only knows the truth we tell it…that was very powerful. I also thought it was so refreshing that we are allowed to feel negative emotions…meaning we don’t have to be perfect and apply these tools to avoid negativity but rather use the tools to work thru the negativity so you can get back to being happy and experiencing joy. Last, I want to touch on the meditation…I really enjoyed it and the biggest relief I got from Alli is there was no right or wrong way to do it. Meditation is hard as our minds tend to wander constantly as we all know…it was nice to meditate and know whatever I did or experienced was ok.  In summary, I walked away knowing I wouldn’t be perfect in how I behave, think, or meditate, but knew I would be able to apply these tools to work thru my imperfect life.”
